As befits a company with a sixty-year history, ICS Engineering and Environment  is committed to the long-term. We look at the impact of everything we do and make sure that all benefits are shared and any negative effects minimized. All subsidiaries across the group implement our policy of improving efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint. Every one of our 100+ employees adopts an attitude of thrift and respect towards the planet and its resources.

We are passionate advocates for renewable energy. We are committed to being a responsible business, where we recognise the environmental and social impacts of our activities and seek to manage them appropriately

Our Policies

ICS is committed to conduct its affairs in a manner that meets not just the letter of applicable laws and regulations but also their spirit.  This requirement applies to the company and to its individual directors, employees and sub-contractors and others who act on the company’s behalf.

We strongly believe that our ability to grow the business; offer an exciting and rewarding working environment for our employees; and ensure a reasonable return to our shareholders’ investment is through upholding the highest ethical standard in conducting our affairs.  The long-term success and sustainability of our company, we believe, depend upon work obtained and produced in an ethical and transparent manner.

Our Code of Conduct details our Ethical procedures and guidelines which are embedded in ICS culture and business strategy and reinforced at all levels of the company.

Our Code of Conduct is designed to prevent, identify, and resolve any potential ethical concerns, and include training and communications, monitoring and auditing, enforcement and discipline, and response and prevention.

Whilst upholding the highest ethical standards is an individual responsibility of our staff and partners, the Boards maintains overall responsibility for the Code of Conduct implementation.

ICS is committed to achieving sustained, profitable growth by providing services which consistently satisfy the needs and expectations of its clients.

This consistent level of quality is achieved through adoption of a system of procedures and tools that reflect the competence of the company to existing customers, potential customers, and independent auditing authorities (where appropriate).

ICS operates a Quality Assurance System to:

  • Ensure that a consistent high quality service is delivered to clients on time and on budget.
  • Ensure consistency of service to all clients in all markets and locations.
  • Ensure that all employees are fully aware of all policies, processes, company knowledge and tools, whatever their role.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by a formal process of feedback and controlled change.

ICS believes that observing a Safe Culture is not only good for the wellbeing of our staff, clients and the public at large but also good business. Therefore we strive at all times to ensure that safety is embedded within our office culture, quality management systems, operations and personal lives.

It is a common goal across our operations to minimize workplace incidents and observe safety measures throughout project life cycles.

Our commitment to safety is demonstrated through:

  • Learning from our previous experiences, continuous training, and adherence to strict standards to ensure the safety of our employees, our partners, and communities in which we work.
  • Fully complying with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all jurisdictions in which we operate.
  • Empowering our staff to prevent safety related incidents by integrating safety considerations in their day-to day operations.
  • The Board being responsible for engendering and supporting a Safe Culture within the company, the development and implementation of ICS’ safety processes.

At ICS we aim to learn from our experiences and set the best standards for others. We set high standards for our staff and strive to consistently meet them. In the same regard, we do expect the same of our clients and partners.

The core to our standards is ‘The Way We Do Business’ a document that sets out policies and procedures that govern our operations throughout the company. These policies and procedures are continuously reviewed to ensure that we maintain international best practices in terms of transparency and accountability.

Overall responsibility for the implementation of ‘The Way We Do Business’ rests with the Board.  The Board ensures that each policy and its associated requirements are understood and implemented throughout the company through communication and training. The Board also ensures that the policies and procedures are communicated to all consultants, sub-contractors and representatives of the company and require them to adhere to the ICS Code of Conduct when doing business with or on behalf of the company.

The Code of Conduct sets out the commitment of ICS to conduct its affairs in a manner that meets not just the letter of applicable laws and regulations but also their spirit. The Code applies to the company and to its individual directors, employees and sub-contractors and others who act on the company’s behalf.

ICS employees are the principal asset of the company and on whom the success of the business depends. It is therefore vital that the company adopts comprehensive HR Policies and Procedures that reflect this importance and dependence.

The Information Technology Policy defines the mandatory processes and procedures adopted by the company in relation to information technology.

The Health and Safety at Work Place Policy defines the mandatory processes and procedures adopted by the company to ensure that a safe and effective working environment is provided for staff and visitors and that the company properly discharges its health and safety duties.
